Longsword Workshop and Sword & Buckler Teaser
Presented by the HEMA Alliance and True Edge Academy

Instructor: Stew Feil
HEMA Alliance Acting Director of Curriculum Stew Feil gave this workshop on the longsword in Berkeley, California at Berkeley Krav Maga, who kindly donated their training space for the day. Participant trained with Stew for almost ten hours, working on everything from basic footwork to terminology to advanced methods of incorporating footwork into the application of the mastercuts. At the end of the day, a short “teaser” introduction to the sword and buckler taught students how to use their understanding of the longsword to help them begin taking their first steps into the sword and buckler.
