Thank you everyone for the responses. I am beginning to sort through the information. The school year is almost over so I will be able to get some things ready over the summer. I am considering purchasing a pair of synthetic long swords since I should be able to use them in the school setting (especially if I can get a club approved).

Jesus blessings!

How about a PVC pipe? It will be too light, though.

Any way you can install a tire there that you can use for training?

This is a very useful guide for combat training.

Just from messing around with one, a PVC pipe is too light, too flexible, and too easily broken.

Also, please use your real name, as per forum rules.
