Since this seems to be the place for recommendations, it'd be nice if the forearm guards were smaller. A lot of people have said that the guards either push on the inside of their elbows and/or ride all the way up to the wrist. Either way it's uncomfortable and it doesn't fit with the rest of my gear. The only sizes offered are medium and large.... and my legs aren't that long! Although, they do provide some serious protection.

Also, the pants - would it be possible to offer slightly shorter pants? I like knickers/breeches/whatever to bunch at the knee and these bunch on my calf! I realize I'm short compared to most men, but I'm sure there are men out there that have short legs or a shorter stature.

Other than that, I look forward to the gloves!

If the gloves had long reinforced cuffs like the historical padded gloves did then you wouldn't need separate arm guards that interfere with your range of motion or the other gear you're wearing.

so this is pretty easy to implement into my design, but I am curious how far up the forearm do you think they should go. for instance we see pictures of the historical versions joined with and elbow protection system But I cant see how that would work since rotation would be a problem and the fact that this would have to be a custom specific measurement for everyones arms. thoughts?

Do them like a sort of long cuff Wisby gauntlet?

They should end a few inches before the elbow so that they're compatible with the elbow pads we wear. Here is a pic of a historical messer glove, a matched pair of these would be very good for longsword.

Well I will have my new HEMA mask, foreamrs and elbows in time for Longpoint (if all is in stock).

I have a nice gambeson I typically wear that has more than enough coverage for everything else...

I'll let you guys know what I think when it gets in.

To All:

Absolute Force will display the final vision of the HEMA Gloves at the Longpoint in Baltimore on June 14/15th. We believe this is going to be the best gloves with best value! Our staff will also set up a booth there! See everyone there!

New mask, forearm protectors and elbows are in.

The new masks are nice, but HOT. Especially in our gym.

Elbows are fine, especially over my gambeson. Forearms are huge. I actually think they shipped me shin guards instead. VERY heavy and looks like they are based off of the armour for naginatajutsu (sorry naginatadō) but are very protective for sure.

Sweet. Someone take pictures for the poor slobs like me that can't make it.

Absolute Force ought to consider sending some to the Pacific Northwest HEMA Gathering in August.

Nah, those are the forearms... although the shin guards are very similar and the forearms can double as shin guards (at least on me). They're freaking huge, heavy, and seriously protective.
