Corsair's Wares is proud to announce that we are now stocking "Obsesseo" by David Rawlings at our newest website: http://swordandbuckler.co.uk/

This website is set up specifically for this DVD. We believe it merits this highlighted status, and hopefully we will make it easy and convenient for historical fencers around the world to purchase this superb DVD. Our other websites will continue to operate as normal.

The shipping prices to the EU and to the US are quite high at the moment, they may come down in the near future when I can talk to the Royal Mail to find out more accurate prices. Please keep checking back!

For people in the US, if there is sufficient interest in having an American-based supplier of this DVD, this is actually something that we can sort very easily :) in just a month or so, if we know there is a market, we can set up a US branch of our operations to bring this DVD across in bulk so that postage of individual discs will be cheaper.

One of my colleagues will be visiting the States within the week- he will be taking a couple of boxes of Obsesseo DVDs with him, to leave with his family who will post them out to people when orders are received, to help save on shipping. We should be able to have this all set up and ready to go at some point at the weekend, so by Monday morning there will be 50 copies of Obsesseo in the States ready for purchasing without needing to pay for transatlantic shipping!

Isn't the UK in a different DVD region than the US?

The UK is region 2, the USA is region 1. So if the DVDs were setup to be region specific its going to be an annoyance for viewers in the states. However if the dvds were created region free it shouldnt be a problem.

Good question, thank you for asking. The DVD has been programmed as region 2, but several people from north America have bought the DVD and have been able to play it without a problem. As far as I have been aware, Dave Rawlings has only heard of one case of the DVD not working on an American machine, and there have been lots of DVDs sent across the Atlantic already. So I honestly believe that this should not be a problem - I have personally sent a few DVDs to American customers and all of them have worked faultlessly.

I picked up a copy of "Obsesseo" at Longpoint. For another North American datapoint: it will play on my DVD player, but does not display properly. Much of the text is cut off. My machine is going on 12 years old at this point; a newer player may not have the same issues.

Have you tried playing it on your PC? That will quickly tell you if the coding is wrong or if it is your dvdplayer. I get sent DVDs from home all the time and this happens occasionally. Only one dvd ever failed on my PC though.

My Fellow North Americans:

There do exist All Zones / Code Free DVD Players which allow you to play anything from anywhere.

That way the techno-cops cannot confound your viewing choices.

The boxes of Obsesseo are now in the States, we are just working out how much the postage will cost :)

Our Obsesseo website has been updated today. Now that we have a couple of boxes of Obsesseo DVDs in the USA, we can offer significantly cheaper shipping to our American customers: just $5 instead of $15! If you live in the USA and would like to get your hands on a copy of Obsesseo, please have a look at our website here: http://www.swordandbuckler.co.uk/
