No longer tentative, it has been etched in stone...


May 7th at Turkey Lake park in Orlando. An all day informal gathering of swordsmen primarily of the Friefechter variety but all are welcomed to come train and cross swords and other implements. Please contact me directly for any directions or what not. This gathering has no paticular focus, we will probably run through a bunch of Longsword handworks, drill some cutting lines like crazy and then freeplay like madmen.

I hope to make it, though I fear I might not be able to spar at that time (my post surgery req's are to not spar for 6 weeks, the end of which will be May 15th). I would be interested in helping to film the event on the sidelines while freeplay's going on though if that's needed!

Thanks for putting together the event Mike! I always like getting to play knives and daggers with Jay and I enjoyed finally having a chance to fight you with longsword and dussack. I even picked up a couple new techniques from John Wolfe and Mike Vaughn I'll be practicing at home. Now I'm looking forward to Dixie Krieg!

Those Orlando gatherings are the kind of regional event we want to foster throughout the MFFG and i daresay the HEMA Alliance as well.
