This doesn't have to be an either-or thing, guys. Wooden wasters, singlesticks, synthetics, steel- they all have their advantages and disadvantages. Even with steel, for instance, you have to exercise a lot of caution or wear a lot of gear. Synthetics allow you to fight like you're trying to cut the other guy in half, yet when you hit him... he doesn't fall in halves.

I use every type of available broadsword simulator, and I advise others to do the same.


Ah...the great "triangulation". Anymore sensible talk like that and I might have to start respecting you.
